ElectraSeal
Concrete Sealer for ESD Control Environments
Concrete Sealer turns standard unsealed
concrete into an ESD Floor
ELECTRASEAL: a state of the art
sealer/finish, with inherent static-dissipating properties, specifically
formulated for application in areas where positive elimination of static
electricity is a requirement. ElectraSeal is designed for use on porous
(unsealed) concrete as a base coat for
ElectraGlaze ESD Floor Finish or alone as combination sealer/finish.
ElectraSeal's unique static dissipating ingredient is actively linked to the
chemical structure of the polymer system, controlling washout, or leaching
of the static control properties. An uncoated cement slab will typically
show an erratic conductivity falling below 10E04 and possibly rising to
10E08 and higher. This conductivity will fluctuate dramatically
depending on humidity, dirt and contaminants. ElectraSeal provides an
near
impervious layer of conductivity, reducing dirt and contaminant entrapment
while smoothing out the erratic conductivity prevalent in all slabs.
When applied to an uncoated, unsealed concrete slab ElectraSeal easily allows
compliance with the latest EOS ESD 2020
recommendations of the floor
falling below 1.0E09. In the vast majority of cases (dependant on the
conductivity of your slab and ambient humidity conditions in you facility) ElectraSeal's Resistance to Ground (per S7.1) will fall
into the conductive range (<1.0E06)
Unlike typical
Urethane or Epoxy type sealers ElectraSeal is designed to be removable (with
effort) and re-applied if
cumbersome scuff marks or chemical stains demand action. Reduced maintenance, good gloss, and durability are additional
assets of this high-tech antistatic sealer/finish. Coverage is approximately
1500-2000 square feet per gallon per coat depending on the porosity of the surface.
Reliable ESD Performance and Longevity meets Outstanding Value

- Consistent ESD Properties,
- Smoothes out erratic
conductivity of concrete.
- Highest forgiveness to concrete moisture
emissions
- Reduced maintenance
- Clean, high tech glossy
appearance
- Durable, long lasting
- Economical
- Low tribocharging
- Meets standards as issued in
EOS ESD S2020
- Can be removed with effort if severe conditions dictate
or you wish to install an esd floor at a future date.

APPLICATION & MAINTENANCE
Best results are obtained when ElectraSeal is applied to surfaces which are 60
Deg F. or warmer and in relative humidity conditions of < 50%.
Thoroughly vacuum slab to remove any loose dirt or dust. If
contaminants such as oil and grease have soaked into the slab wash with
ElectraClean or
any high quality neutral cleaner, rinse slab and allow to dry completely
prior to application of ElectraSeal. When used as a base coat for
ElectraGlaze ESD Floor Finish, one
or two coats are recommended depending on the porosity of the surface. Allow
two hours between the last coat of ElectraSeal and the first coat of
ElectraGlaze esd floor finish.
When used as a sealer/finish on
unsealed concrete three coats will provide the optimum gloss and durability.
Apply thin even coats, allowing ElectraSeal to dry, (depending on humidity and
temperature) for approximately 30-45 minutes between coats.
When used as a sealer/finish effective recoating may be achieved in the
following manner. Vacuum the floor to remove any loose dirt or dust. Wash
the floor with ElectraClean or a high quality synthetic neutral cleaner, to remove dirt and soil. Apply thin even coats,
allowing ElectraSeal to dry, for approximately 30 minutes before resumption of
foot traffic.
Floor surfaces should be swept with an untreated mop daily to remove
abrasive loose dirt and sand. Floors should be damp mopped with
ElectraClean regularly, as needed, to remove soil, salt, and film deposits
which can degrade the coatings conductive properties and gloss.
