Description
Protects And Enhances ESD Floors (Not Recommended For Use On Standard VCT).
Your existing ESD Floor is something to be proud of. Any ESD flooring materials is a substantial investment chosen to eliminate static and provide a high tech showplace for your Clients. But scuff marks and dirt from the manufacturing environment can dull the value, reduce the performance and become a cumbersome maintenance nightmare.
Most ESD floor manufacturers never recommend a finish, why? They experiment with the performance in a lab only environment. United Static Control Products (like you and your company) know what these floors do for a living. Want scuff marks? High maintenance cost? Make sure to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Want an ESD floor for the real world, use ElectraGlaze.
Unique, highly wear resistant, ESD (static control) floor finish specially formulated for use on all ESD conductive vinyl. Unlike typical static control wax, ElectraGlaze Anti Static Wax includes new innovative formulation features an incredibly tough, highly abrasion resistant acrylic blend that actually improves the reduction of tribocharging without significantly altering the electrical resistivity of your ESD flooring. With superior chemical and water resistance, excellent bond strength to all surfaces (including non PVC) and the best resistance to abrasions and scuff marks in the industry ElectraGlaze Anti Static Wax pays for itself by reducing maintenance cost while restoring the appearance of your floor to a “better than new condition.”
ElectraGlaze Anti Static Wax can be used as a full coverage floor finish as well as a spray buff solution for spray buffing heavy traffic lanes, scuff marks and heel mark areas. ElectraGlaze cleans up easily with ElectraClean Neutral Cleaner without loss of gloss or reduction of its superb static control properties. Applications are quick and simple, requiring only two thin coats for optimum results. It can be buffed to a high shine or left as applied. Without high speed polishing ElectraGlaze Anti Static Wax provides slip resistant properties typically better than untreated flooring, actually exceeding the most stringent ADA Compliance Recommendations.

Our Testing
ElectraGlaze works with the floor’s existing conductivity and typically adds approximately 1/2 to 1 decade of resistance to conductive flooring. 2 very thin coats work best!
After Treatment
(2 coats) all installed ESD flooring materials fell within the original manufacturers specifications for electrical conductivity at 100 Volts. Our testing confirms a reduction in Tribocharging averaging 14% on seven samples of the most common ESD flooring. Bond strength on a variety of flooring samples; excellent, scuff resistance; excellent (all samples). Product has low odor, low VOC solvent and safe surfactant system.
Anti Static Wax Application
ESD floor finish is not applied just like standard floor finish, take the time to understand the difference. It will save you time in the long run. This material is for use on ESD vinyl, epoxy and standard hard surface flooring. If the floor has been previously coated with a wax or factory applied finish (as is the case with standard VCT, or if floor is extremely dirty, remove contaminants with emulsifying floor stripper such as ElectraStrip Floor Stripping Liquid. Power Scrub with pad, double rinse with clean water. Allow to dry thoroughly. Using a clean Rayon mop or wax applicator, apply thin even coats of ElectraGlaze allowing finish to dry 2 hours between coats. Two coats are recommended for optimum performance on ESD Floors. Buffing is not required between coats unless high luster is desired.
Note: Avoid application during high humidity conditions.
Anti Static Wax Maintenance
Dry mop floors with an untreated mop daily to remove loose dirt, sand and other abrasives. As needed: damp mop using ElectraClean ESD Floor cleaner only diluted 10:1 to remove soils which can degrade the coatings conductive properties and gloss. Heavily soiled areas and scuff marks can be removed by spray buffing with ElectraShine.
Note: Do not use plain water (without the addition of ElectraClean) to damp mop your floor. Do not apply diluted ElectraClean for 48 hours after initial application of ElectraGlaze. If a high shine is required high speed polish with finest pad possible using coarser pads only as needed. For best results consider the use of a propane powered high speed polishing machine.
Anti Static Wax Storage
Store tightly in cool dry area. Do not mix other floor finishes or add left over product from previous applications.
Anti Static Wax Extra Information
- Packaged Weight per 5 gallon container, 50 pounds.
- Packaged Weight per case lots (4 ea 1 gallon containers), 40 Lbs.
- Packaged Weight per gallon, 10 pounds.
Note: All ESD floor finishes will modify the resistivity of ESD flooring materials. Although more conductive than others previously tested, expect a slight increase in the resistance values of flooring materials manufactured in the conductive range (<1.0E06). Expect a decrease in the floors ability to tribo-charge. Conductivity of ESD floor finish is affected by ambient conditions such as humidity and temperature as well as grounding methods, substrate conductivity and moisture content of concrete. Pre-test to insure that this product falls within compliance if the floor is close to the top limit of your resistive range specifications.
