Description
Electrashine ESD Spray Buff contains a proprietary formula contains special lubricants that help reduce overheating of the ESD floor caused by the polishing operation while its active anti-stats help reduce static. It provides an ULTIMATE diamond like luster and an outstanding mirror like finish to all types of hard surface ESD flooring including ESD tiles, sheet vinyl, ESD floor paint and ESD floor finish.
Electrashine ESD Spray Buff may be used on ANY type of hard surface standard flooring to reduce nuisance static and provide an outstanding mirror like shine. It’s easy to apply and ideal for use with either propane or electric high speed polishing equipment (1,200 rpm or higher). For optimum results ElectraShine is used as supplied (not in a diluted form) and applied as a spray buff. ElectraShine may also be diluted with one part cool clean water to one part ElectraShine and mopped on, allowed to dry and burnished with a soft pad.
ESD Spray Buff Application and Maintenance
Remove abrasives from flooring substrate by dry dust mopping or vacuuming followed by a light damp mopping using ElectraClean and a lint free synthetic mop. Optimum application is obtained by using this product in an undiluted form. Pour ElectraShine into a clean spray bottle, lightly mist the immediate area and follow by burnishing the area of application with a soft clean pad (1,200 rpm of higher). ElectraShine may also be diluted one part product with one part cool clean water and mopped on the entire area. Allow the coating to dry and burnish with soft clean pad (1,200 rpm or higher). Wash and rinse pads after each use.
Typical coverage:
2,000 to 3,000 SF per gallon.
Why spray buff an ESD floor finish?
Spray buffing changes the profile as well as the hardness of an existing esd floor finish and provides a brilliant diamond like luster as the alteration of the micro finish operation progresses. Not only is the floor finish made harder by the heat generated as a byproduct of the polishing / burnishing application (equating to an approximate 20% increase in wear resistance) electrical conductivity is increased by as much as 1/2 of a decade in both point to point readings and resistance readings to ground. Although the heat generated during the polishing process can be beneficial it’s important not to get carried away.
Overheating can pull excessive active ingredients from the finish compromising conductivity and leaving hard to remove oily smears. We recommend using new polishing pads or bonnets, starting with the finest pad available and working to a more aggressive pad should your needs dictate. Always keep the pad semi moist. The flooring should never feel warm to the touch in an area that has been polished. For best results allow the floor finish to cure for at least 24 hours prior to polishing. ElectraShine ESD Spray Buff provides a superb increase in shine, conductivity and wear resistance and works well with both propane and electric high speed polishers to remove many common scuff marks as you polish.
